Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (2 Saturdays off per month)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and result-oriented Senior Manager - Sales to lead and expand our general trade presence across the South region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of general trade dynamics in FMCG, experience scaling startup brands, and a strong network in the regional trade. Excellent negotiation, leadership, and execution skills are essential to drive sales growth and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving sales targets and profitability in the general trade channel across the South region.
  • Develop strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to secure and grow shelf space.
  • Identify and onboard new distributors and retail outlets to expand market reach.
  • Design and implement region-specific trade strategies, including SKU selection, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor and optimise trade spends, discounts, and incentive programs to maximise ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and sales execution.
  • Ensure compliance with trade policies, contractual agreements, and in-store execution standards.
  • Analyse sales data, competitor activity, and market trends to adjust strategies and improve sales performance.
  • Resolve operational issues such as stockouts, payments, and delivery challenges promptly.
  • Lead and mentor sales teams to enhance productivity and motivation.

Requirments:

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in a General Trade sales role within FMCG.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling brands in the South Indian general trade market.
  • Strong network amongst distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in the region.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret sales performance and market data.
